“Secrets de grands chefs” refers to the video-on-demand service produced by the company PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS - SAS with a capital of EUR 2,500 - Registered with the Trade Register of Antibes under No. 538 144 999 - Management No. 2011 B 1311 c/o SELFBURO 92 BD WILSON 06160 Juan les Pins - FRANCE
The Company PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS provides Internet users an online Video-on-demand (VOD) subscription service. Upon request by the User, this service grants access to a video file available for download on a PC directly from the website, to stream and watch the audiovisual programmes offered by the Service.
To download Audiovisual Programmes, users must register and pay online for the selected Audiovisual Programme.
Users are reminded that the use of Audiovisual Programmes offered is subject to the following restrictive conditions:
- either downloading these programmes exclusively within the framework of private consumer use and not intended for public use in accordance Article L.122-5 2 of the Intellectual Property Code;
- either Viewing and/or Previewing the said programmes on demand, exclusively within the framework of the consumer's family circle in accordance with Article L.122-5 1 of the Intellectual Property Code.
The User declares having the capacity to enter into this agreement, the General Terms of Sale of which are set out below, that is to say, being of legal age and not being under guardianship.
Access to the Service is granted directly through the website, the URL access of which is www.secretsdegrandschefs.fr. The service is accessible from a computer (PC) on which the following software are installed: Windows Media Player 7.1 or later version, Internet Explorer 6 or later version, equipped with Microsoft ® Windows® 98 Second Edition, Windows® 2000 or Windows® Millennium Edition or Windows® XP and Windows Vista® (excluding Windows® 95, Windows® 98 First Edition, Windows NT® 4.0 operating systems), comprising at least a 450-megahertz (MHz) (or more) Intel Pentium III processor or equivalent, with 64 megabytes (MB) or more of RAM, as well as a 16-bit (or more) sound card and a video card with thousands of colours or more.
The Company PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS shall not in any event be held responsible for any disappearance, loss or damage, including any damage which may potentially affect the User's computer and/or home equipment.
Access to the online ordering service is granted permanently subject to periods of service and maintenance, server update operations and possible exceptional interruptions.
Prior to confirming their online purchase, Users must register to the website and fill out the relevant form in order to provide the data required to process their order (login name, password, valid e-mail address).
To place an order, Users shall make an online request in order to subscribe to the VOD service of their choice.
To enable customers to review their order before providing final confirmation, the Company PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS has created a confirmation and acceptance screen.
The order will only be formally registered upon final confirmation of the order summary screen. This last "click" is equivalent to the handwritten signature set out in Article 1341 of the French Civil Code. Upon this "click of acceptance", the order will be considered final and may only be challenged in limited cases as provided for hereafter.
By checking the box "I accept the General Terms of Sale", be it when the account is created or at the time of the order, the internet user fully and unreservedly accepts all of these General Terms of Sale.
Upon confirming the order and settling payment thereof, the users will then be able to watch the Audiovisual Programmes which are made available to them within the framework of the Service.
If internet users fail to proceed to the confirmation of their payment immediately after confirming their order, the latter will be considered cancelled.
After formal registration of a placed order, provisions have been made so that users will receive an email. By keeping this email and/or printing it, Users will have a proof of their order and the Company PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS recommends them to keep it; this email will serve as invoice.
The VOD subscription refers to a temporary streaming offer consisting of several programmes and exclusive discounts for subscribers, available against payment of a monthly standard fee. The VOD subscription allows you to watch, during a given month, all the Programmes of the catalogue available on secretsdegrandschefs.fr, excluding some programmes that will be notified on the Programme Sheet. Programmes which are excluded from the VOD subscription will be available at discount rates. No subscription contract is subject to any minimum commitment.
The VOD subscription is a renewable subscription by tacit agreement. Termination is possible any time. You can end a subscription as late as twenty-four (24 hours) before the end of the current given subscription period.
Upon termination of your VOD subscription, notification must be made via the Contact form available here. The notification will be deemed effective at the end of the subscription period subject to a twenty-four (24) hour notice before termination. Termination shall take effect at the end of the current given subscription period and shall not give rise to any refund of the VOD subscription. Any started rolling month shall be owed. The total amount paid for the VOD subscription shall remain the property of PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS.
The price of Audiovisual Programmes is listed in euros (EUR) and includes all taxes.
Any change of VAT rate will be automatically reflected in the price of Programmes.
Accepted payment methods: PayPal, French Carte bleue or credit card (Visa or MasterCard); no bank details go through or are stored by PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS or on the Website.
The User's account will be debited for the amount of the placed order. Users acknowledge that the disclosure of data relating to their bank account is an authorization to debit your bank account for the benefit of PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS, corresponding to the total amount of their order including fees and VAT.
The Audiovisual Programmes are made available to the User for download once their payment is complete.
Prices of audiovisual programmes may be changed at any time by PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS without prior notice.
The Website is secured with:
- SSL (SECURE SOCKETS LAYER) encryption technology which encrypts transmitted data;
- the encryption capabilities of internet users' browser;
- the secure online payment system of our bank partners (PAYPAL) which enables direct connection between the users' computer and the Bank Card Centre to process payments and authorization requests.
The transaction is carried out according to the safety standards of the banking sector.
However, the guarantees provided by the Company PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS for security purposes are identical to the ones it received from software manufacturers.
Important note: in order to take advantage of the secure SSL payment method, the User must imperatively use browsers which are compatible with the SSL system, i.e. either Netscape Communicator version 4.0 or any later version, Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or later version, or Mac OS and all its subsequent versions.
The Company PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS processes users' information with the utmost confidentiality in accordance with the law of 6 January 1978 on data processing, data files and individual liberties.
Data on users may be used for purposes such as to forward them information regarding updates of audiovisual programmes which are available on the Website. They may also be used for marketing purposes with other business partners.
The Company PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS agrees not to communicate under any circumstances information relating to users' bank accounts.
In accordance with the Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, users are entitled to access, rectify and oppose their personal data at any time; Users may also oppose any communication of their personal data to third parties.

Due to the nature of the services provided by PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS, the execution of which starts, with the user's consent, before the end of the statutory cancellation notice period of 7 days, and cannot be returned as a result of their nature, the user is not entitled to exercise his right of withdrawal in accordance with Article L.121-20-2 of the French Consumer Code.
The implemented system, which requires an active approach on the part of the user is in full conformity with the requirements for remote sales via the internet and as such including with Articles L 111-1, L 113-3 and L 121-18 and following of the French Consumer Code as well as with Articles 1369-1 and 1369-2 of the French Civil Code, as amended and/or established by the Trust in Digital Economy Act (Act No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004).
Authors' rights or the rights of holders of related rights are reserved pursuant to the Intellectual Property Code.
The Company PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS reserves the right to close down users' accounts on the following grounds:
- insolvency;
- if users act contrary to the provisions set out in the Intellectual Property Code;
- or if users fail to comply with any of their obligations pursuant to these General Terms of Sale.
The Company PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS shall not be held liable for any non-compliance with the laws of the country where the programmes are broadcast.
The Company PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS shall not be held responsible for any malfunction or interruption with respect to the provision of its service, if such malfunction or interruption is related to or resulting from cases of force majeure.
Some hypertext links may direct users to other websites. The Company PATRICK LAURENT PRODUCTIONS shall not be held liable if the content of the said other websites infringe applicable laws and/or regulations.
These General Terms of Sale are governed by French law.
